This handwoven cotton scarf has one of the softest textures we offer. It's because the yarns are actually hand twisted cotton - in the rich tradition of 'khadi.' Khadi was what Mahatma Gandhi was spinning in his famous portrait shot for LIFE magazine. He spun 'khadi' threads while he contemplated how to get the English empire to peacefully leave India. He considered 'khadi' to be instrumental in India's effort to be self-reliant. We started with a basic white 'khadi' scarf, added a few yarn dyed vertical stripes and a floral gold border. Gandhi would have been proud.
Content: 100% Cotton. Dimensions: 71" X 34"
This scarf was made with love and respect - for those who wear it as well as for those who wove it.
